Speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, the President of the United States issued a very thinly veiled threat toward the media:
Trump: "Fake news is creating violence" pic.twitter.com/YB69b3nfci

“No, no, you know what, you’re creating violence by your questions,” he said. “You are creating…You. And also a lot of the reporters are creating violence by not writing the truth. The fake news is creating violence. And you know what? The people that support Trump and the people that support us, which is a lot of people, most people, many people, those people know when a story is true and they know when a story is false. And I’ll tell you what, if the media would write correctly and write accurately and write fairly, you’d have a lot less violence in the country.”
This sure sounds like a threat. Donald Trump is basically telling the media that his supporters don’t think the media is telling the truth about Trump, that is what is causing the violence, and if the media wants there to be less violence, they should stop questioning Donald Trump.
This is outright, in your face, without nuance, fascism.
