On the same day that news broke about Donald Trump’s lies about his business dealings with Russia while he was a candidate for President who was also giving foreign policy speeches that were favorable to Russia, Indiana’s newly elected Republican Senator Mike Braun published an op-ed piece to suck up to Donald Trump:
The fact that the Trump family rigorously campaigned for the GOP when the president wasn’t even on the ballot shows that their dedication comes from their fundamental belief in Donald Trump’s overarching goal of making America great again.
After all, the president’s vision of restoring our country’s greatness can only materialize if there are enough pro-America candidates in Congress to pass legislation that will empower the American people.
Mike Braun loves himself some Donald Trump, a man who ran for President as a con to make money and conspired with a foreign adversary in the process, a man who lied about pre-existing condition protections while he went around the country at these rallies Mike Braun thinks are reasons for gratitude, a man who has almost single-handedly destroyed the American soybean industry, a man whose trade war has caused farm bankruptcies and auto plant closings in the Midwest, a man who used active duty military troops to drum up fear in his voting base, a man who disrespected veterans because he was afraid of a little rain, a man who repeatedly lied about signing a Veteran’s bill that was signed by Obama, a man whose call to gut regulations may have led to an E.coli outbreak, a man whose sabotage to Obamacare has caused a huge increase in premium costs, a man who lied to defend Saudi Arabia’s murder of a journalist, a man who was too busy golfing to visit American troops serving overseas, a man who has been lying constantly at his rallies about coal and steel and the economy and almost everything under the sun, a man who has been telling people that drug prices are going down when they’re actually going up, a man who has been bragging about selling weapons to a country that murders journalists and funds terrorists, a man who disrespects the military over and over again, a man who sided with Vladimir Putin over U.S. intelligence agencies in front of the entire world, a man who threw out Obama’s trade deal with Mexico and Canada only to cause hardship for the Midwest for two years so he could agree to basically the same deal, a man who committed a felony campaign finance violation by paying off an adult entertainer to cover up an affair he had while his wife was home with their newborn son, a man who didn’t know Israel was an important aspect of a Middle East peace process, a man who gave a speech to the United Nations that was eerily reminiscent of a speech given by Adolf Hitler, a man who cut taxes for the rich while raising taxes on the middle class, a man who told a Spanish diplomat that they should build a wall across the Sahara desert, a man who wanted to pay down the national debt by causing massive hyperinflation, a man who failed spectacularly in managing the hurricane response in an American territory, a man who has surrounded himself with criminals, a man who has an irrational hatred of the windmills that now provide clean power to much of Indiana, a man who cancelled the cost of living increases for federal workers the same day he issued support for a tax giveaway to the wealthiest Americans, a man who is spending billions of taxpayer money on a “space force” to get his revenge upon wealthy billionaires who have dissed him, a man who repeatedly criticized a dying man in public, a man who believes he should be above the law, and a man who is almost certainly mentally ill,
And that’s not even the half of it.
Mike Braun seems to be lacking a little in his ability to judge the character and competency of a person.
